Fly direct from Los Angeles to Mammoth on Horizon Air.
Daily flights depart LAX at 2:20pm and arrive MMH at 3:25pm.
Return flights depart Mammoth at 4:05pm and arrive LAX at 5:10pm.

The nearest major airport is Reno, 165 miles away.  Rent a car for the drive south, because ground transportation is spotty, and you probably will want a car in Mammoth. Mammoth is 325 miles north of Los Angeles on Hwy. 395 and 165 miles south of Reno on the same highway. June Mountain is 20 miles north of Mammoth Lakes off Hwy. 395.

From Los Angeles
Take I-5 north to State Route 14 north to US 395 north to State Route 203 (307 miles).

From Orange County and San Diego

Take I-15 north to US 395 north to State Route 203 (375 miles).

From San Francisco & Sacramento

Take Interstate 80 to Hwy 50 to the Kingsbury Grade cutoff to Hwy 395 south to Hwy 203; 320 miles.

From Las Vegas

Take US 95 north to Hwy 266 west; turn slight left to State Route 168 to US 395 north to State Route 203 (310 miles).

From Reno/Lake Tahoe
Take US 395 south to State Route 203 (165 miles).
